Accounting Manager - Consolidations
Location: New Jersey or New York City
Salary: $120K to $150K plus bonus

What you will do
Under general direction and in accordance with Company policy, procedures and US GAAP. You will perform and/or direct department personnel to prepare financial reports for senior management related to the consolidation and reporting of Company-wide results. This may include the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for global or domestic entities.
How you will do it
- Manages the monthly consolidation process to ensure financial reports are prepared efficiently and accurately for senior management.
- Oversees preparation of the monthly internal consolidated reporting package.
- Supervises consolidations personnel.
- Coordinates consolidated reporting matters with public accountants, business unit personnel and various corporate departments.
- Directs intercompany activity and reconciliations.
- Ensures appropriate accounting treatment for the Company’s equity-based compensation plans.
- Ensures appropriate consolidation of the Company’s captive insurance companies.
- Ensures proper internal controls are in place and appropriate documentation is maintained related to the Company’s consolidated financial reporting.
- Keeps abreast of technical developments in areas of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Conducts special studies and analyses as authorized and directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in public and/or private accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written communication and analytical skills, including ability to work with a variety of internal customers.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP accounting and reporting standards.
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Ability to meet firm deadlines.
- Must also have a demonstrated ability to motivate, evaluate and develop personnel.
- Strong systems skills – Excel, Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, HFM or others
