The CUCS Housing Resource Center (HRC) is seeking (3) HRC Consultants to join our teams. Through our Single Point of Access (SPOA) Housing, Reentry Coordination System, and Consultation & Resource Programs, the Housing Resource Center expands access to housing and support services for people living with mental illnesses and other special needs. HRC also provides interactive, hands-on training and support services for human service professionals on NYC supportive housing options, referral process, and behavioral health resources.
Summary
The HRC Consultant will provide a full range of person-centered services and appropriate resources, both onsite and community-based. Services include, but are not limited to:
- Vacancy management
- Referrals
- Housing placements
- Consultation and technical assistance
- Training
- Resource development
- Advocacy
- Crisis intervention
- Regular outreach
- Referral outcomes monitoring
- Coordination of care
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma with six years relevant work experience, or bachelor’s degree with two years relevant work experience in related field
- Experience with mental health supportive housing and the NYC Supportive Housing Application process and HRA CAPS required
- Significant knowledge and experience with NYC community mental health services
- Strong clinical, administrative, and detail-oriented organizational skills
- Good computer literacy skills – adept at learning and navigating new systems/technologies
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- High level of professionalism and consumer/recovery-oriented approach
- Experience with Zendesk customer service software preferred
- English/Spanish bilingual preferred
