Pay Range: $ 23.49/hr - $ 27.60/hr - $ 31.71/hr

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Admissions Team Leader is responsible to accurately collect and analyze all required demographic, insurance, financial and clinical data elements necessary to register patients. The Incumbent is responsible for the provision of routine patient access activity to facilitate efficient operations, expeditious reimbursement and optimal consumer satisfaction and employee satisfaction. The incumbent is responsible to monitor work flow and ensure effective and efficient operations including minimizing patient wait times and adherence with department productivity standards. The Team Leader will communicate areas of concern to the department manager and/or supervisor. The Incumbent is responsible to consistently demonstrate the core values of Enloe Medical Center. The incumbent is responsible to perform their duties in accordance with regulatory compliance requirements and the Medical Center's Code of Conduct.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Must have one of the following:
o3 years leadership experience in a medical office or similar work environment
o2 years progressively responsible hospital admitting/registration experience
Desired:
Medical Terminology
Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
A/D/T software application experience
Bilingual ability/certified in medical translation
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
This position interfaces with all levels of personnel within the hospital or clinic setting. The incumbent must demonstrate excellent customer service skills. The incumbent must demonstrate positive, professional and effective interpersonal relations with patients, public, physicians, and staff and demonstrate the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to communicate with patients and families during time of emotional and physical stress. The incumbent must demonstrate sensitivity and compassion for the hospitalized patient and family. The incumbent must maintain all protected patient information in strict confidence.
