OB/Gyn Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive care as part of primary and urgent care, specializing in women's reproductive healthcare issues and prenatal care. They provide female care from puberty to preconception through childbirth, delivery, postpartum, and menopause. They are responsible for performing screening examinations, diagnostic tests, diagnoses, treatment, and providing reproductive advice and recommendations. The ability to identify and treat hormonal disorders, fertility issues including cancers of the reproductive system. Providers will manage and treat urogynaecology problems and sexually transmitted diseases.
Qualifications
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform initial examination to assess baseline state of health, diagnose and prescribe appropriate treatments.
- Perform wellness exams and diagnostic tests such as pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast exams.
- Document family and medical history.
- Explain complex medical conditions in simple terms.
- Diagnose and prescribe treatments for disorders and conditions affecting women’s health.
- Order diagnostic tests to identify or rule out disease or infection.
- Order tests to accurately diagnose cancers of the breast and pelvis.
- Collaborate with medical and non-medical staff to promote positive outcomes.
- Provide prenatal, labor, delivery, and postnatal medical care.
- Educate and provide vaccination when benefits outweigh risks.
- Explain the childbirth process to the expectant parents and family.
- Educate patients on sexual health, hygiene, and reproductive choices.
- Counsel patients on management and treatment of menstrual problems.
- Evaluate menopausal signs and symptoms including ordering of tests for diagnosis and treatment.
- Perform follow-up care where required.
- Ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, and request necessary tests and follow-up visits and refer patients to specialists as necessary.
- Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Perform care after sexual trauma such as tests, counseling, and report to authorities if requested by the victim or reportable by law.
- Ensure that all medical records are accurately maintained.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience Required:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Women’s Health or OB/Gyn Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
Education/Certification Required:
- Current and unrestricted license from any US State, District of Columbia, or US Territory to provide healthcare within scope of practice.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- American Heart Association - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification is preferred.
- DEA License.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- On-call requirements as part of a rotation if required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance to drive company vehicles.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
- This position is unaccompanied.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Ability to obtain a DOS mandated clearance when required.
- Must be able to relocate to Doha, Qatar.
- A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Qatar.

Compensation: Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
