Holyoke Medical Center is in need of hiring a Mental Health Counselor.
Under the direction of the Director of Inpatient Behavioral Health, performs a wide range of functions related to the care and treatment of admitted behavioral health patients across the three inpatient units. These functions include participating in the multidisciplinary team approach to patient care, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment and the completion of required documentation. Additional tasks may include, but are not limited to ADL care, obtaining vital signs and facilitating group activities based on behavioral health theories and concepts. Incumbent is expected to adhere to System and Department compliance policies, and any and all applicable laws and regulations. This description covers the essential functions of the position. Incumbent is expected to perform other similar and related duties as assigned. Management reserves the right to change or add to the job responsibilities at any time. Adheres to system and department compliance policies, and any and all applicable laws and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
Counselor I
High School/GED, Minimum 1-year behavioral health experience

Education/Experience
Counselor I
High School/GED, Minimum 1-year behavioral health experience
Counselor II
Bachelor’s Degree and one year of healthcare or High School/GED with three years required, Bachelor’s Degree Psychology, Education, or related Human Service Field preferred.
Counselor III
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service Field, Four years direct behavioral health experience required,
