GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the licensed radiologic technologist performs all general diagnostic radiographic procedures and their clerical functions as well as in-house laboratory services and their clerical functions. This person is also cross trained to fill in at other clinical functions as needed in the times when there are no radiology technician duties to fulfill.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing general diagnostic x-ray imaging of urgent care, primary care, and x-ray walk-in patients while using radiation safety practices in regards to patients, staff, and technologists.
- Providing a professional, safe, compassionate environment for patients where they receive appropriate care utilizing technical expertise.
- Preparing and utilizing all general radiographic equipment and overseeing repair and maintenance of radiology equipment.
- Maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, safety, and environmental standards.
- Monitoring and ensuring accuracy of medical records as it relates to the radiology department patients, including department reports, charges, order entry, and supplies.
- Safely and effectively obtaining blood and urine samples.
- Performing urine drug screens and alcohol breath testing using approved federal guidelines and in-house laboratory services and equipment.
- Multi-tasking to promote efficient completion of x-ray and lab exams.
- Accurately inputting patient information in Electronic Medical Record.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT Board Certification, MRTBE state license in Medical Radiology.
- Laboratory experience preferred but willing to train if necessary.
PAY RATE
$30-36/hr DOE
