Under direct supervision, assists in the performance of a variety of Neurophysiology procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and brain disorders.
Essential Responsibilities:

- Records and identifies various Neurophysiology data in various settings.
- After supervised orientation: obtains patient history, attaches patient electrodes and operates Neurophysiology equipment, during operation of equipment observes studies, analyzes wave graphs, makes documentations to indicate disorders, artifact, and is responsible for settings adjustments.
- Cares for all age groups, sets up and prepares patients for Neurophysiology studies, completes post study paperwork used to maintain patients' files. Adheres to hospital/departmental guidelines and judgment during patient care, attends and participates in educational, departmental, and required meetings.
- Observes Neurophysiology data, and is willing to acquire new skills under the direction of physicians, Nurse Practitioners, managers, and technologists, including but not limited to Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
- Participates in maintaining equipment and reports needed repairs to the manager. Maintains a clean environment including but not limited to equipment and workspaces.
General Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate with some post-secondary college education in science or health-related area.
Experience: 1 year experience in Neurophysiology/Neurodiagnostics, Nursing, direct patient care, health-related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations: Current American Heart Association BLS. Registered/Certified Neurodiagnostics Technologist strongly preferred. Expectation: become registered and/or certified Neurodiagnostics Technologist within 3 years of hire date.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to provide outstanding patient care. Some general knowledge of physiology. Cognitive and psychomotor skills required. Good verbal and written communication skills that allow relaying of information in a clear, concise, and calm manner. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and physicians. Basic knowledge of computers.
