Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, located in Baltimore, MD has an immediate need for a Nurse Employee Health 3. The nurse will provide onsite services and split time between the Baltimore, MD and Annapolis, MD sites.
Hours: Mon. – Fri. 7:30 am – 4:00 pm - Nurse will have the opportunity to work an alternate work day schedule if preferred (9/80).
Description of Nurse 3 Duties:
- Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.
- Deliver OSHA and job/site/contract required surveillance program services to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping in electronic medical records system (Cority) in compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Dispense OTC Medications.
- Work with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to recognize environmental factors and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workers.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace.
Required Basic Qualifications:
- At least 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation.
Required Certifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years in occupational health.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects.
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidential documents and information.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines.
- Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations.
Preferred Certifications:
- Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC).
- Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal).
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN).
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
Salary Range: $84,600 - $127,000. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
