Position Title: RN Manager, Inpatient Pediatrics - Behavioral Health

Job Description: General Description:
Under general direction, responsible for the planning, direction, and coordination of assigned department(s).
Essential Responsibilities:

- Directs and coordinates, through supervisors (if applicable), the activities of the department.
- Reviews and analyzes reports, records, and directives.
- Monitors and analyzes costs, prepares budgets.
- Evaluates, develops, and implements process improvements to enhance effectiveness.
- Responsible for the hiring, promoting, discharging, and transferring of employees.
- Responsible for scheduling and staffing needs of the unit; available for staffing needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Arranges appropriate in-services and continuing education programs to meet the needs of the staff.
- Ensures the proficiency of the staff on the unit.
General Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required; Master’s level education preferred.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of progressive leadership experience required.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of nursing principles and techniques related to assigned department(s).
- Knowledge of managerial functions such as ability to solve practical problems, maintain a budget, report writing and performance improvement tools.
- Good computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills for interaction with staff, patients and medical professionals.
- Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks at one time.
- Skills in planning, coordinating and measuring departmental activities.
- Competence to participate in interdisciplinary formulation of individual treatment plans; to give skilled nursing care and therapy; and to direct, monitor, and evaluate the nursing care furnished.
