Associate Program Manager (Hybrid)

To support our growth, ICF is seeking an Associate Program Manager to support a variety of utility rebate and/or energy conservation programs in Virginia and the greater Washington, DC area. Working closely with the senior portfolio managers, this individual will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the successful delivery of operations across multiple functional areas, including internal operations, client support, and stakeholder management. Candidate will also perform outreach services to secure sound results for program, resolve service customer inquiries, and assist with the overall delivery of energy conservation programs.

What you will be doing:
- Supporting energy-related customer programs such as energy efficiency, demand response, and electrification responsible for overall program success including on-time and on-budget program delivery, deliverable quality, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborating with a multi-functional project team.
- Coordinate internal projects, including portfolio reviews and status updates with internal and client program leads.
- Managing performance of trade allies and/or subcontractors who support programs.
- Delivering effective communication through technical assistance, program training, and guidance.
- Overseeing program performance, including financial management, contract deliverables, strategic planning, quality assurance, and operational efficiencies.
- Maintaining ongoing communications with clients for program status updates, pipeline management, and stakeholder feedback.
- Preparing and presenting targeted client and participant presentations to promote program awareness and participation at events.
- Analyzing market trends and technologies to enhance deployment opportunities and increase participation in client utility programs.
- Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 15% to 30% of the time. (reimbursement for mileage provided)
- While the position is hybrid, local business travel up to 30% may be required.
What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in (Business Admin, Energy, Environmental Studies, policy, or related field) (candidates can substitute one year of relevant experience for each year of education)
- 5+ years of experience developing, designing, and managing successful energy efficiency programs
- 5+ years of experience managing a team (both in-house and virtual).
- Must have a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
What we would like you to have:
- Energy-related project and/or program implementation experience.
- Demonstrated experience with business and client development with concentration in new opportunity pursuit and capture.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement in quality assurance/control theories, techniques, and application.
- Firm understanding of procurement best practices and contract administration.
- Ability to take direction and work independently towards final results.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.
- Industry certifications, professional affiliations, and publications.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Proficiency in developing and/or implementing data collection, tracking, and reporting processes (i.e. customer relationship management (CRM) efforts).
- Hold a project management certification, including but not limited to; PMP, Six-Sigma, Scrum Master, etc.
