Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months’ salary unless otherwise specified.

Job Description: The Martin J. Whitman School of Management is seeking a part-time instructor to teach FIN 400 during the spring 2025 semester.
FIN 400 Selected Topics – Development Finance: Exploration of a topic, not covered by standard curriculum but of interest to faculty and students.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or equivalent.
Job Specific Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching at the university-level is preferred.
- Must be available during existing course times that meet throughout the spring semester.
Responsibilities:
- Prior university-level teaching in a related area is preferred.
- Creating and updating course syllabus in line with overall course goals and major program objectives, in collaboration with appropriate full-time faculty.
- Preparation of lectures, projects, and other student assignments.
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
- Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance level of the course.
- Meeting all designated class periods.
- Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to university regulations and school/college-level policies.
- Providing departmentally sanctioned form for completing student evaluations.
- Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
- Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty members.
- Other responsibilities as indicated.
