Job Purpose:
The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the accounting staff in the daily operations of one or more accounting functions, including accounts payable, ledger maintenance, financial statements, and audits.
Job Summary:
This position reports to the Corporate Controller. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of processes and procedures and will establish and implement productivity and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
- Preparing financial analyses and reports.
- Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
- Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
- Analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices.
- Monitoring cash flow and identifying working capital needs.
- Liaising with department heads to ensure that each department remains within budget.
- Supervising and providing overall guidance to accounts payable personnel as well as junior accounting staff.
- Providing regular updates to management regarding company finances.
- Ensuring that the company maintains compliance with accounting legislation.
- Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the Sea Box Quality Policy calling for self-inspection of your work product.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
- Accident prevention – actively identify, correct and/or report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
Education:
- B.S. degree in accounting or finance required.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accreditation preferred.
Experience:
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
- Ability to train and manage staff.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- The ability to process large amounts of numerical data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.

Location:
This position is onsite (non-remote) at the Company's corporate headquarters in Cinnaminson, NJ. This position may occasionally require working overtime and/or working outside of the Company's normal hours of operation.
