Job Title: Senior Accountant

Status: Full Time / Exempt, Salaried
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant applies generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial information, reconcile financial statements, prepare general and standard journal entries, and assist in the preparation of standard accounting and financial reports for management.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close process, including preparation of account reconciliations, journal entries, account analysis and monthly financial statement review.
- Assist in preparation of month end financial statement package.
- Review coding of accounts payable invoices.
- Prepare and maintain depreciation schedules.
- Assist in preparation of schedules for interim and year-end audits.
- Special projects and other duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Solid understanding of accounting processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and related products.
- Ability to build positive rapport with individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as outside the company.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
- Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- 4-6 years of general accounting experience required.
