Staff Accountant

Position Summary:

Hours: 40 Hours, Monday-Friday
Location: Ensign College Campus - 95 N 300 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84101
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
Employment Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Qualification:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting or finance.
Two to three years of general accounting experience.
Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, journal entries, and customer service.

Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze financial data.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Description:

Supervise the accounts payable, journal entry and reconciliation processes.
Assist in the resolution of AP related banking issues.
Provide expense training and assistance to college employees.
Assist in the capitalization, tracking and disposal of assets.
Supervise and train student employees.
Assist in managing the College's purchasing card program.
