The Financial Analyst - Plant Operations role works across the plants and across BU within plant and operations to drive cost visibility & operations finance support. The primary objective of this role is to 1) provide cost visibility and analysis on plant and operational spend in Fiberon & other business units 2) resource for plant & supply chain operations teams as analyst to support financial decisions be it capital investments, cost out opportunities or inventory analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plant Cost Structure and Inventory Cost Analysis
- Partner with Fiberon operations to understand and analyze cost structure for Fiberon plant specific rates & cost structure including ongoing changes to scope of business & product focus.
- Support monthly/quarterly roll-out of Oracle updates which impacts reporting across inventory and plant costs.
- Partner with inventory costing team in support of analysis and data to ensure proper costed BOMs & views at plant level across Fiberon.
- Work directly with Fiberon & other businesses to understand annual volumes for basis of the standard costs and ensure manufacturing facilities are aligned.
- Understand Continuous Improvement projects and identify which to include vs exclude from standard costs and forecast variances as needed.
- Fulfill support in audit requests relating to product costing as needed along with inventory costing team.
- Summarize and communicate impacts across the business while supporting Fiberon operations finance leader.
MANUFACTURING SUPPORT:
- Support in the annual manufacturing budget as well as monthly forecasting/actuals analysis.
- Prepare monthly manufacturing close summaries across the Fiberon plants and other supply chain analysis required as part of monthly processes & requirements for reporting.
- Support the month end/cost walk package and summary for Fiberon & plant leadership.
- Provide analysis/reporting for monthly reporting materials for the Supply Chain Month End Package Review and monthly business reviews.
- Review P&L as part of close to ensure results represent the actions and operations ongoing within Fiberon, and support and work with accounting team on closing the books.
- Finance Partner for the local plant leadership teams.
- Help prepare analysis to drive OSMI reduction across sites.
- Prepare sourcing or other logistics analysis & reporting required for sourcing & distribution/transportation finance leaders as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
- Supporting restructuring & ROI models as needed with ongoing changes within Fiberon product portfolio.
- Become expert in new reporting EPM as well as analyst supporting validation of new EPM for FBIN.
- Assist with other ad hoc duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience is required. Preferably in a branded goods manufacturing company.
- Must have prior experience in a manufacturing or operations role.
- Experience with standard costing and costing systems, as well as experience addressing audits requests.
- Must be proficient in MS Office especially Excel & utilizing EPM systems to automate reporting.
- Self-starter who has had success working in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent communication skills- written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong ability to partner and engage with all levels of the plant & supply chain operations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Oracle ERP experience preferred.
