Job Summary and Qualifications
The Managing Director for Investment and Transactional Activity will be the primary resource for accounting and reporting on the Company’s less-than-wholly owned joint ventures and equity investments. The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience in the accounting and reporting for transactional activity, including acquisitions and divestitures, the analysis and application of standard operating, management and transactional legal documents, participation in due diligence activities, and review of third-party appraisal or other valuation reports.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and roll forwards of equity investment account activity.
- Apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, consolidations, and equity investments.
- Coordinate quarterly joint venture monthly operating reviews.
- Prepare and review separate opinion financial statements for certain joint ventures.
- Participate in periodic board meetings for our equity investment companies.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Development team and field accounting teams to appropriately account for business acquisition and divestiture activity.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree is preferred. Certified Public Accountant is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in an accounting or auditing role with healthcare industry experience, with significant focus on the accounting for investment and transactional activity.
