We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a strong background in Finance and Information Technology, and experience in a cloud business operations role with an emphasis on budget forecast accuracy and cost optimization. The candidate should be both technically adept in multi-cloud strategies & technologies and highly skilled at building strong partnerships that deliver critical organizational outcomes. In this role you will provide financial and analytical support, assist in financial modeling and the development of department budgets, prepare business plans, and both monitor and assess financial performance. You will act as a liaison between Information technology departments and the Finance department.

How you will make an impact:
- As a member of the Finance team, this role is responsible for the analysis of Cloud spend and data center growth for IT Infrastructure and applications.
- Provide subject matter expertise to assist IT and Finance leaders on key strategic decisions related to budgets.
- Provides leadership to the Financial Operations team members, supervisors, and managers by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives. Ensures accurate development and preparation of departments' operating and capital budgets.
- Incumbent will track and compare spend to historic baseline costs to identify savings from migrating from on-premise data centers to cloud-based service.
- This role will work closely with IT partners to track application and data usage to develop and maintain projected spend for near-term and long-term planning and budgeting for IT as a whole.
- Acts as a liaison between IT and the finance and budget departments.
- In partnership with IT operations, develop, implement and track unit key indicators that drive costs.
- Provide financial insights based on deep analysis, highlighting trends to explain the causes of variances, and identify opportunities for efficiencies without compromising service quality or business growth.
- Work closely with IT staff to map the activity within the Cloud and other services to the accounting reporting to be able to monitor against budgets and projections, to identify variances and alert management of unfavorable results to allow for corrective actions where necessary.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data, Finance, or other related area required.
- Experience with capacity forecasting, cloud cost optimization techniques, financial reporting, and workflow management in a large service operations environment.
- Demonstrated ability to support agile decision making across multiple cloud services, with short-cycle analytics and problem solving.
- Extensive experience working with Excel and other data analysis tools on financial data; 3+ years of experience with one/more public/private cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.).
- Ability to develop effective reporting schemes/metrics to maintain strong control on usage and billing of cloud services.
- Experience and knowledge of billing on cloud platforms, including impact of usage patterns on total cost of ownership.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Information Technology Operations for product life cycles, network computing, and capital expenditures.
- Experience with cloud FinOps tools (e.g. CloudCheckr, CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, etc.).
- CPA preferred, not required.
