Position Overview
The Senior Benefits Finance Analyst will support the financial stewardship of the global Total Rewards portfolio in the administration of strong financial governance controls throughout the vendor network cycle - onboarding, payment terms, self-billing arrangement contracting, service level agreements, program forecasting, rate development and/or monitoring, plan financial performance reviews, budget development and reconciliation through to contract termination and final financial settlement. This is accomplished by coordinating with both external partners (i.e., consultants, actuaries and vendors) and internal stakeholders (i.e., total rewards, finance, payroll, tax, accounting, treasury, FP&A, legal, and other colleagues).
This is a hybrid position; working arrangement will be a blend of weekly onsite work in our Madison, WI office location and remote (3 days in office each week). Relocation assistance is provided for those not local to Madison, WI area.
Essential Duties
- Participate in drafting and maintaining financial models for the Department's annual benefits budgeting and quarterly reforecasting deadlines for the U.S and other countries as assigned.
- Participate in the monitoring and analysis of benefit cost data trends and insights including the monthly analysis of variance for actuals to budget/forecast.
- Proactively work with internal client teams to supply data for input into the company's financial planning systems to create and maintain financial plans and projections.
- Assist in forecasting and monitoring vendor payments obligations to ensure they are met according to contractual terms.
- Participate in the establishment, tracking, or termination of employee benefit vendors' banking and invoicing processes to ensure the efficient and timely payment of the Company's obligations.
- Participate in monitoring vendors' costs versus financial performance metrics relative to the established contract terms including service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and proactively work through ad-hoc requests for analysis related to employee benefit and compensation programs.
- Maintain a strong focus on process improvement opportunities including the introduction of automation to increase the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the financial modeling process.
- Participate in program and/or financial process audits.
- Prepare or validate financial exhibits used in presentations.
- Participate in preparation of scorecards, dashboards, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in employee benefits or finance administration or benefits finance accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior direct experience working within an international company with cross-border responsibilities.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent data visualization tools.
- Experience with Coupa, SAP, Workday and other ERP systems.
Salary Range:
$85,000.00 - $135,000.00. The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
