The Role at a Glance
As the Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for performing monthly and quarterly accounting processes and preparation of related deliverables. This includes journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, process improvements, and research as needed. You will prepare, record, analyze, and report standard accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
What you'll be doing
- Prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions ensuring integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
- Identifies and communicates to management process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality.
- Performs standard accounting activities, including maintaining and reconciling General Ledger accounts.
- Records and maintains records to support monthly and quarterly accruals and analyze monthly expenses for variances.
- Supervises and reviews integrated team members' work through review and posting of journal entries and reconciliations.
- Works with management on fixed asset capitalization activities.
- Identifies, researches, and resolves discrepancies among assigned General Ledger Accounts.
- Assists with the preparation of quarterly and year-end work papers for reporting requirements.
- Conducts ad hoc analysis in support of management.
What we’re looking for
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent work experience. Degree in Accounting strongly preferred.
- 2+ Years of experience in accounting that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required).
- Ability to analyze information and evaluate implications of actions or solutions.
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple projects under pressure.
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Pay Range: $53,500 - $92,500 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
