Position: Job Cost Accountant (JCA)

What does a JCA with Paul Davis do?
- Coordinate and lead front office activities, including greeting visitors, receiving incoming calls, coordinating with vendors, and managing office operations.
- Directly assist the Owner and General Manager by coordinating all phases of job costing, performing basic bookkeeping duties with support from a professional bookkeeping service and CPA, managing accounts receivable and payable, and reconciling accounts.
- Maintain all accounting, computer and financial records for the company.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, with appropriate enablement and support.
- Use software tools including QuickBooks, restoration industry platforms, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office to ensure effective business operations.
- Support team by managing email correspondence with customers and vendors, scheduling appointments, and organizing meetings.
- Handle additional tasks as needed to support various departments, including occasional support to insurance and construction project documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Execute their job with empathy for customers and a sense of urgency, while communicating effectively through modern technology.

Team Qualifications (Requirements):

- Experience with, or willingness to learn, office software and technology necessary for the efficient, day-to-day, successful operation of a small business
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Have the ability to work nights/weekends and overtime, if needed
- Desire to continually learn new things
- Familiarity with the insurance, construction, or cleaning industry is beneficial but not required
Role on the Team (Job Responsibilities):
- Public Relations and Engagement -- establish a rapport with insurance carriers, customers, vendors, subcontractors, adjusters, agents and fellow employees
- Focus and dedication to providing excellent customer service.
- Assist other team members when needed and foster a positive working relationship with other departments.
- Be a great representative of our brand!
- Collecting information-possess strong listening and communication skills, ask questions and monitor various aspects of the business to detect problems
- Manage all phases of job costing
- Manage the daily operations of the franchise as needed when the general manager is not available
- Maintain all accounting, computer and financial records
- Request and maintain updated Workplace Safety certificates & insurance coverage for subcontractors
- Finalize timesheets and process payroll
