Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000
Sodexo’s Campus Segment is seeking a detail-oriented Multi-Unit Controller located in West Haven, CT. This individual will partner closely with our Unit Operations Managers to oversee financial matters for our growing portfolio of accounts. This Multi-Unit Controller will provide unit finance support for weekly flash projections, participation in final budget reviews, forecast updates, period close, and ad hoc reporting (daily, weekly and monthly).
This Controller will serve as the primary point of contact for unit and district finance projections, questions and concerns. Ensures weekly and monthly financial reports are completed as well as monthly analysis of those results and detailed variance explanations are submitted within specific deadlines.
Primary responsibilities of Multi-Unit Controller include:
- This position will serve as the primary point of contact for unit finance projections, questions and concerns.
- Responsible for ensuring AR, AP and budgeting are in compliance with Sodexo standards.
- Prepares and analyzes all financial reports each week for the College.
- Analyzes financial reports for all units within the district in preparation for weekly district call to be held each Wednesday.
- Supports managers during weekend flash, researching issues, creating solutions and supporting managers through financial systems and processes for accuracy in reporting.
- Provides regular direction to Managers, Chefs and Operations Managers regarding financial standings.
- Assists and communicates with District Manager each week, consolidating weekly flash variances and providing support in understanding of variances, collaborating to present variance information for weekly regional finance.
- Analyzes month-end reporting for the College and all operations within the district, provides variance explanations and corrective action plans as needed.
- Creates the College annual budget. Supports general managers, admins and controllers within the district for annual budgeting process including preparation of information for budget planning and leading an in-person budget workshop with post-workshop support as general managers finalize the budget.
- Completes monthly re-forecasting for the College, supports and directs general managers at each unit within the district on monthly re-forecasting.
- Ensures all units have completed weekly reports including Measures, Flash, Forecasting, Labor Pulse reviews and Labor KPI analysis.
- Provides in-person and as-needed training for general managers and unit admins & controllers.
- Onboards all new general managers and unit admins/controllers on Sodexo financial systems.
- Conducts meetings with GM’s to review all areas; food and supply cost reductions, labor and OT optimization and generation of retail sales.
- Holds team accountable for Sodexo-specific tools needed to manage business including Food Management Systems (FMS), The Market Connection programs (TMC) and Operational Metric Dashboards.
- Initiates and follows up on cost reduction strategies with management team within Providence College and the general managers within the district.
- Conducts routine audits of inventory and cash handling practices.
- Conducts ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
- Supports additional products as requested by the district manager.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field
