The Financial Analyst Role provides analysis and materials to the business and Senior Management spanning a wide variety of focuses, including retail industry dynamics, debt compliance, forecasting & budgeting, and other treasury/financial operations. This position will also be responsible for handling ad hoc project requests, collaborating with business partners across the organization, and supporting the creation of key stakeholder reporting.
What You Will Do
- Provide analytical support to Financial Accounting during month end close; responsibilities include journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, abnormal transaction research, explanation of variances, and quarterly control & annual audit deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Finance team and Senior leaders across business functions to develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
- Support the preparation of key deliverables including presentations, standard reports, and ad-hoc requests.
- Maintain a high-level awareness of relevant business conditions, trends, etc. to provide the best possible insights.
- Other tasks include Treasury Operations (i.e., Administration of Inactive Pension Plan and Cash Management), partnering with Sourcing to review contracts and payment terms, and other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field: Required.
Experience Qualifications
- 1-3 years Financial Analysis and/or Accounting experience with a proven track record of increasing responsibility (Retail Background a Plus): Required.
- Experience with Specialized Financial Systems, such as GL Systems, Hyperion/Essbase, & Workday.
