We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a GovCon Client Accounting Manager to join our team in the Client Accounting Advisory team.
This is a virtual position. A virtual position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. As a virtual employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client working, team meetings or training.

The Client Accounting Advisory Team is a rapidly growing division of CohnReznick, where we partner with our clients to perform accounting, advisory and technology services. Our services include maintaining of books and records, financial statement close management reporting, assistance with state and local tax filings, virtual controller/CFO services, as well as accounting technology solution development.

YOUR ROLE
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide support, guidance and review of monthly financial statements for government contractors, and take responsibility for all client communication and deadlines, supervision and training of senior and staff associates.
- Analyze technical accounting issues (FARs, GAAP, company policy). Use expert excel and data analytical skills to conduct in-depth analyses to identify, isolate and resolve complex discrepancies, including performing timely ad-hoc analyses, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Provide advice, as needed, on government accounting and compliance matters including DFARS Business Systems, cost allocation leading practices, CAS/FAR compliance and assistance with managing government audits.
- Accept responsibility for, and complete engagements in accordance with client time and budget expectations.
- Make effective use of firm resources to complete a project, manage multiple client projects at any given time, and promote teamwork and cooperation within the office.
- Foster effective relationships with clients and referral sources, exhibit strong leadership skills and identify and solve problems in a team environment, and earn confidence, trust and respect from clients and colleagues.
- Develop technical skills and industry knowledge, demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, creativity and independent thinking.
- Attend local professional and business organization functions, as well as networking events, participate in presentations on technical matters, and represent the firm in a positive and professional manner.
- Demonstrate sound business judgment and participate in the management of the Practice.
- Active participation in CohnReznick internal development programs, including staff training courses.
- Participate in proposal writing, prospect meetings and oral presentations to secure new clients, and provide mentorship and leadership to developing team members.
Your Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license is a plus.
- 8 years experience in an accounting related profession with 3-4 years in government accounting and government managed accounting services.
- Extensive Experience with Unanet required, additional experience with ERPs such as Deltek Costpoint and Jamis desired.
- Experience with Indirect Rates and Incurred Cost Submissions.
- Knowledge of DFARS business system requirements, specifically estimating and/or CPSR.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and advisory skills.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong technical skills in FAR and CAS.
- Working experience with MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task.
