TheFinancial Accounting Analyst Senioris responsible for technical leadership and setting strategic direction of projects for the Treasury Accounting team.
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Manage close processes, related analysis and reporting for the company's investment portfolio
- Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports and complex analysis
- Design research plans for data gathering and analysis and manages projects to deadlines
- Responsible for initiation and resolution of complex accounting problems requiring technical expertise
- Research GAAP and Statutory technical guidance and prepare position memos to support the company's investment accounting finance policies
- May lead teams of associates
- Mentor, train, and coach lower-level accountants
Minimum Requirements:
Requires BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, or related field and a minimum of 5 years experience in general accounting, finance or budgeting and planning in a large for profit organization; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- Accounting degree preferred.
- CPA, CMA or MBA
- Demonstrated experience with interpreting technical GAAP guidance.
- Public Accounting Audit experience
- Investment Accounting or Analysis experience
- Demonstrated ability to review and interpret technical accounting guidance.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently
