The Business Analyst is responsible for aggregating and presenting information to supply intelligence around business decisions related to sales strategy, forecasting, performance metrics, and any other ad hoc analytic requests. They will collaborate and become strategic partners with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to enhance business operations. They will work with both internal data along with third party data. They will also play an important role in designing and developing PowerBI reports for users across multiple functions to promote self-service data. Teamwork, critical thinking, and a customer-centric mindset will be essential in this role.
Essential Duties:
- Work with sales leadership team:
- Deliver exemplary customer service, strategic insights, and analytics
- Translate vision and goals into strategy and direction for the team
- Lead assigned area’s monthly forecasting process
- Measure/analyze forecast and budget at an area, region, and territory level
- Analyze and understand a business operation’s strengths and weaknesses to identify opportunities for automating processes and functions. Also work with other internal departments to learn, teach and translate project needs.
- Demonstrate ability to translate and communicate advanced analytic insights to internal customers with various understanding and experience with data
- Communicate and present to senior level management and officers of the company
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis
- Performs other duties as assigned

Educational requirements:
A four-year college degree preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Marketing, or other related curriculum.
Skills and experience:
- 2-5 years of analytics work experience or other relevant experience in a similar industry or position
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Possess the ability to work under stress of time critical objectives of medium to high complexity with limited supervision
- Ability to work with team members and independently in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to work with the technical analyst team and translate project requirements
- Strong communications skills, verbal and written
- Ability to handle sales, compensation, margin information and personnel decisions with 100% confidentiality
Will Be Required to Know or Learn:
- Proficient in Excel (2+ years experience recommended)
- Extensive knowledge of Functions, Pivot Tables, OLAP
- Data Feed and Cross Platform capability
- Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for Excel (Macros)
- Previous experience with a front-end BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau
- Data analysis and extraction experience
- Proficient in Office365 and each tools’ integration capabilities
- Previous experience with a CRM tool or database
- Ability to locate and navigate, and understand critical business documents, including Quarterly and Annual Reports, Financial Statements and 10-K.
- Familiarity with SQL Server, SSAS, and SSRS is a plus
