Position Overview:
As a senior analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and solving complex investment and financial challenges for our clients and prospects. Your work will also extend to researching and developing new tools, enhancing our capabilities, and identifying market opportunities.
Our dynamic Insurance Solutions team at Conning is dedicated to designing innovative investment strategies and financial solutions tailored to the unique needs of insurers. Work with the Insurance Solutions team to leverage financial modeling, proprietary portfolio optimization, and quantitative tools to develop long-term investment strategies that drive success. We value collaboration, client service, idea generation, and professional development.

Insurance Company Engagement (50%)
- Collaborate closely with team members to craft customized investment strategies for our clients.
- Contribute to new business initiatives by recommending investment strategies using Conning’s proprietary tools.
Research & Development (35%)
- Innovate and develop new tools to advance the firm's capabilities.
- Optimize team processes for increased efficiency.
- Support various projects and initiatives as needed to contribute to the team's success.
Technical Skills (15%)
- Develop proficiency with the company’s financial modeling tools.
- Collect and structure data necessary for financial model creation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in investment management and/or financial services.
- CFA designation or active pursuit thereof is highly regarded.
- Good understanding of the investment needs and constraints specific to insurers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and a good grasp of capital markets and insurance principles.
- Exceptional analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
- Professional demeanor, excellent organizational and time management capabilities, with a knack for thriving under pressure and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A collaborative spirit with a willingness to share ideas and contribute to the team's creative process.
