Job Responsibilities:
- Manages the portfolio health, ensures compliance to standards, and drives delivery of the book of work.
- Responsible for indirectly leading a project management team to maximize the value delivered through multiple programs and/or value streams.
- Builds relationships with technical resources as well as business and technology executives across multiple organizations.
- Utilizes JIRA for project resource assignments, managing timely delivery of programs/projects/tasks, and ensuring consistent and timely project updates are captured in the project’s PPK by the Delivery Leads.
- Manages and forecasts Delivery Lead resource capacity and availability.
- Develops employee and contractor resources through training, mentoring, providing feedback, and hands-on development as it relates to project and program delivery.
- Ensures risks and impediments raised at the project and portfolio levels are managed and resolved quickly.
- Assists in the creation of project delivery milestone dates being committed to and communicated to stakeholders.
- Facilitates portfolio review meetings to provide status to line of business stakeholders pertaining to the desired outcomes, delivery, risks/issues, and delivery schedule.
- Facilitates internal team meetings.
- Prepares and presents portfolio data to executive and senior leadership.
- Acts as a proxy to the Service Delivery Manager role as needed.
- Ensures compliance to the Enterprise Change Management process and standards.
- Understands the importance of the GIS programs/projects being delivered and subsequent impact to the Enterprise functionality, data protection, as well as the external impact to the Bank’s customers and resources.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Technical project management experience.
- 5+ years of seasoned project professional with expertise in leading cross-functional teams.
- 5+ years of Agile principles, scrum framework, and Jira tooling.
- Knowledge of infrastructure technologies (physical server hosting, virtual machine hosting, storage, network, database, middleware, network traffic management, network DMZ).
- Experience with Agile project planning, tracking, and delivery.
- Ability and comfort in presenting to executives and in forums.
- Ability to consolidate and communicate a granular level of detail into an executive summary.
- Previous infrastructure delivery experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.
