Responsibilities
- Facilitates payment of all monies due by promptly preparing accurate invoices in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepares and sends out invoices/statements to clients in a timely manner with corresponding folios, food and beverage checks, and miscellaneous vouchers.
- Ensures transfer from guest ledger to city ledger is accurate and completed in a timely fashion.
- Research declined bank cards and all other credit card chargebacks for justification and validity.
- Ensures credit applications are completed and current.
- Maintains tax-exempt certification.
- Sets up accounts receivable files to include a complete and accurate bill, a call sheet, and any pertinent information pertaining to the group.
- Responds to guest inquiries, requests, issues, and problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and quality service.
- Assists with credit card disputes, guest inquiries, and account statement mailings.
- Keeps the Controller informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with peers to foster a cooperative working environment.
- Attends required meetings/conference calls/company functions.
- Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or similar field, 1-2 years of employment in a similar capacity, or a sufficient combination of relevant education and experience.
- Experience/knowledge of the hospitality industry.
- Ability to make decisions and determine a suitable course of action.
- Ability to work with and understand financial information/data and basic math functions.
- Ability to communicate professionally.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
Physical Requirements (Essential Functions)
- Limited lifting/pushing/pulling and carrying are required in order to maintain files/move boxes.
- Limited bending and kneeling are required in order to arrange supplies/equipment.
- Mobility is needed to move about the property and between offices.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests/employees via phone, email, and verbally.
May be needed to work holidays/weekends to complete special projects. The current opportunity is full-time and eligible for company benefits.
Compensation
$19 - $20 hourly
