Senior Project Analyst – Data & Analytics

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Data and analysis are of critical importance for AXIS. As we continue the transformation into a data-led company, we need to ensure that we effectively support the people who leverage the data for analysis to support business decisions and the people who create and maintain the data assets. This role provides analytic support for the Business Engagement organization to 1) point of ownership for governance and executive engagement (D&A SteerCo, OpCo approvals, executive presentations, etc.) 2) provides oversight, guidance, and escalation support for key D&A projects and 3) Set up demand management processes.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work directly with the Business Engagement Leads to put in place demand management processes.
- Work with broader Data & Analytics team (Data Delivery, Data Products, Data Governance) to develop appropriate processes that provide data & analytics portfolio governance including, project approvals, status reporting, capacity planning etc.
- Prepare reports on Data & Analytics portfolio for various governance forums.
- Provides oversight, guidance and support of consistent program management across the Data & Analytics portfolio.
- Support the team to deliver the on portfolio.
This role reports to the Head of Program & Demand Management.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams with a focus on information and data projects.
- Prior experience delivering, managing, and reporting on strategic projects.
- Experience in demand management processes / coordination of multi-disciplinary teams with multiple work streams with dynamic priorities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Balances structure and flexibility, with a drive toward results and accountability.
- Thorough knowledge and experience with both waterfall and agile/scrum methodologies; Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certifications are beneficial, but not required.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments, fast learner, ability to work with competing priorities.
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of USD 78,000 - 145,000. The specific salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including the experience of the successful candidate and their work location.
