Position Summary:
Bolt Farm Treehouse is hiring a seasoned Financial Controller to join our executive team, with direct reporting to our CEO, Seth Bolt. This key team member will manage the finance function of the company in a way that facilitates growth while still maintaining healthy profitability. We are looking for someone who ideally lives within 3 hours of Whitwell, TN, as you will be required to be on property 4-6 days per month for in-person meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely execution of all accounting functions.
- Development and maintenance of internal control systems.
- Manage cash flow, including weekly updates and forecasting.
- Prepare timely and accurate consolidated financial reports.
- Lead budgeting efforts for both operational and capital projects.
- Act as banking liaison, recruiting banking partners for financing, sending docs and reports, bank draws for construction, deal closure.
- Collaborate with CEO & third-party advisors to implement tax strategies.
- Strategic negotiations with vendors to reduce costs & fees.
- Monitor and control expenses of the company.
- Ensure all financial deadlines are strictly followed.

Qualifications:
- Quantifiable results in similar roles (Tell us where you started and how you finished).
- Proven accounting experience and financial acumen.
- Strong work ethic and a competitive passion for winning.
- Willingness to harness the power of AI & software automation and work with Virtual Assistants to run a lean yet powerful finance department.
- Proficiency with software we currently use (Quickbooks, Gusto, Expensify, Slack, Asana, Google Suite, etc).
- Proven ability to coach growing teams and enforce adherence to PO & accounting systems.
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
Critical Experience Required for the role:
- QuickBooks.
- An understanding of GAAP accounting.
- Multi-entity experience with consolidated financial statements.
- Someone who can participate in the Leadership Team but also can “roll-up their sleeves” and get into the details.
- Previous supervisory experience.
