Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for the SEWP program management office's purchase request (PR) process including obtaining quotes, completing NASA Form 1707 (Special Approvals and Affirmations of Requisitions) and GSFC Form 23-59 (Initiator's Acquisition Checklist)
- Enter financial data related to income and all expenses
- Post and record payments in SEWP Database
- Record payments in the RBET System (NASA GSFC proprietary software)
- Record payments into financial system and Excel workbooks
- Work with Contract Holders to assist with collecting payment information and past due payments
- Collaborate with the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) on payments received and other information as requested
- Reconcile payments received
- Assist with auditing of internal financials and financial annual reporting
- Create and/or maintain standard operating procedures related to Financial Team
- Collaborate with vendors for Purchase Order (PO's) Invoices, if needed
- Create vendor purchase orders (PO's)
- Create expenses in SEWP's Internal Tracking System
- Create expenses in contractor's financial software
- Other duties as assigned
Experience/Skills
- 2+ years of experience with federal IT procurement
- 2+ years of Bookkeeping/Data Entry experience
- Knowledge of SAP and how the NASA purchase request process works is a plus
- Basic IT skills, with strong focus on MS Excel and familiarity with other desktop applications is required
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Typing skills with accuracy is required
- Knowledge of US Government contracting is desirable
- Accounting skills and working knowledge of QuickBooks is desirable
- Knowledge of FAR and other applicable government regulations preferred, but not required
Education
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor's degree is a bonus
Other Requirements
- Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident with the ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
