The Position
Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.
The Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS), Child Care and Development Program (CCDP) is recruiting to fill a Business Process Analyst III position within the Fiscal and Data Unit in Carson City. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the Child Care Eligibility and Payment Management System and the coordination, management, and development of the Nevada Early Childhood Integrated Data System (NECIDS). The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate and facilitate project touchpoints, write requirements, coordinate development and testing teams, and actively engage stakeholders and Division leadership throughout project lifecycles. The incumbent will serve as the subject matter expert for the NECIDS and must be able to understand and communicate the goals and objectives related to child care and early childhood education from the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG). Additionally, the incumbent serves as a liaison between CCDP, DHHS/DWSS Information Technology staff, state and county program staff, technicians, vendors, and other agencies/entities involved with project planning, development, and implementation.

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and three years of progressively responsible professional experience in a related program area analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included two years of experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR one year of experience as a Business Process Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting. A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
The Examination
