Overview
Sentara Health is currently recruiting for a Full-Time Business Analyst Supply Chain Procurement and Contracting for the Purchasing Department in Norfolk, VA.
Option for a Hybrid work schedule. Candidates must reside in the Hampton Roads area.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Preferred: Bachelor's Level Degree
- Required: Two years of related experience
- Preferred: Microsoft Excel-Advanced User: Range Index Formulas, Pivot Tables, Power BI, RStudio, Tableau
Tasks and duties include:
- Identifying and prioritizing the organization's functional and technical needs and requirements (Advanced Activity)
- Using Tableau and Excel to analyze large data sets (Day-to-day activity) and Power BI to integrate data visualization in Microsoft Teams
- Compiling charts, tables, and other elements of data visualization (Day-to-day activity)
- Creating financial models to support business decisions (Advanced activity)
- Understanding business strategies, goals, and requirements (Day-to-day activity)
- Planning enterprise architecture (the structure of a business) (Advanced activity)
- Forecasting, budgeting, and performing both variance analysis and financial analysis (Day-to-day activity) for executive-level presentations
In this role, the incumbent will provide both data analysis and apply analytics to formulate a conclusion and make recommendations.
The Business Analyst for the supply chain will be responsible for:
- Gathering the business data about contracting portfolios
- Recording the data for the impact analysis, RFI/RFP, or Competitive Market Analysis
- Graphic demonstrations to assess market share, benchmarking, pricing impact, and forecast utilization
- Providing recommendations based on the analysis completed.
- Assisting with data visualization and presentation.
- Validating contract loading and conversion
- Verifying contract performance savings, rebates, and market share shifts utilizing audit tools.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining data sortation, classification, and standardization.
- Confirming portfolio performance meets forecast projections.
Designs, produces, and analyzes reporting data. Creates and maintains reports for business operations and special projects. Utilizes knowledge of numerous databases, information systems, statistical tools, and analytical principles to monitor and analyze information in support of the business. Assists in the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of information systems.
