Holman is currently accepting applications for the role of Business Analyst I - Holman Consulting Services.
Principal Purpose of Position:
- Analyze various levers of fleet performance and make data-driven recommendations based on sound asset management principles to meet the stated objectives of our clients.
- Support client meetings by providing data and analytics support to answer questions as they arise. Participate as an active listener and ask questions to uncover needs, challenges and goals.
- Responsible for the accuracy and quality of all analysis and data provided to clients.
- Responsible for the execution of all project timelines including clearly and proactively communicating any challenges or obstacles that may threaten the achievement of the stated timeline.
- Responsible for the creation of visualizations, charts and other content to detail the provided analysis and recommendations. Additionally responsible to support the presentation of the same content as needed.
- Provide analytical support and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders during assigned projects.
- Actively collaborate and communicate with all assigned resources during the execution of an assigned project.
- Directly engage with clients to uncover needs, challenges or goals, scope project objectives and deliverables and recommend options for the design of custom solutions.
- Utilize DAX, SQL, or Python to develop and maintain complex data models.
- Create and optimize queries for data retrieval and analysis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Ensure complete documentation of any project and invested time is maintained and properly tracked within the project management system.
- Seek opportunities for innovations and enhancements to existing processes and tools to further benefit clients and key stakeholders.
- Ability to execute on all phases of a project with minimum guidance and oversight, including the execution of any needed analysis utilizing all available tools and programs.
- Identify and leverage subject matter experts and resources within other teams and/or departments as needed during the course of a project.
Education and/or Training:
- BA/BS degree required.
- Relevant degree fields include but are not limited to: business, finance, accounting, analytics, economics, and data science.
Relevant Work Experience:
- Prior experience working in a professional environment is preferred. Experience in the fleet/asset management, finance, sales, data analytics, or professional consulting industries is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience conducting analysis on complex datasets is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Strong proficiency in Excel preferred.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects or other business intelligence reporting tools is strongly preferred.
- Strongly preferred experience with DAX, SQL, or Python.
- Proven ability to work with data analysis and visualization tools.
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing and maintaining complex data models, including troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
- Experience in creating and optimizing queries for data retrieval and analysis.

Pay:
We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $56,400.00 - $81,775.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
