Overall accountability for: Test Approach deliverable to address test passes and defect management processes for the specific test phase. Responsible for the overall Test Approach which documents the overall testing strategy and is the basis for the approaches for each test phase going forward. Detailed test plans for the phase (working with various leads, as applicable). Development and enforcement of entry and exit criteria for test passes. Development and approval of the Test Closure Memo. Test estimates, quality of test requirements and testing deliverables. Allocation of test resources to application tests in a multi-test environment. Determine all testing environment requirements and tools (manual and automated). Review the development process to ensure that defect tracking (identification, fixing, re-testing and migration of defects) is properly addressed. If not, define the defect tracking process and incorporate it into the overall development process.
Work with the Release Management to plan deployment testing. Ensure that testing is on time. Ensure that all testing results are easily accessible. Ensure that the team follows the testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology as specified in the testing approach. Review test, validation, and pilot results to ensure that they meet the entry and exit criteria. Participate in project meetings, enforce test criteria and escalate, if necessary. Identify and raise key issues and risks; define mitigation actions and provide oversight to issue and defect tracking through resolution.
Identify test scenarios and test cases for automation and performance testing. Experience Required: 8 to 10 years of experience.
