Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will be responsible for completing a range of financial operations activities. The ideal candidate will perform required accounting operations including payroll, accounts payable, and expense reimbursements, prepare journal entries, maintain accurate financial records, and generate financial reports. Strong communication skills and experience with financial information systems, including QuickBooks, are essential.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Completing required activities for accounts payable, expense reimbursements, and other areas as needed.
- Monitoring internal controls and escalate compliance issues or concerns as appropriate.
- Reconciling accounts, including the proper elimination of intercompany balances during consolidation.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial close activities in accordance with established deadlines.
- Developing and implementing best practices and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations and reporting.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and accounting operations.
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing and posting adjusting journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions.
- Preparing and posting required journal entries to record business activity accurately.
- Ensuring that processes are completed in accordance with corporate schedules, and that all submissions follow corporate policies.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role, with a focus on financial reporting and journal entries.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
WHAT WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE
- Experience in the healthcare industry or a similar field.
- Knowledge of other financial software and systems.
- CPA certification or progress towards certification.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives and project management.
- Experience with Quickbooks, NetSuite, Expensify, and/or BILL.com.

COMPENSATION
The base pay range for this role is between $74,000.00 to $79,000 per year, paid bi-weekly per our standard payroll practices. Final base pay decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.
