Your role at Clorox:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will own the close and forecast processes for the Litter and Kingsford Business Units, while working closely with finance and cross-functional partners. You will be responsible for understanding the dynamics of the business and providing insights and analysis that will help the business deliver its financial goals.
In this role, you will:
- Complete close activities for the Business Unit, ensuring the accounting is performed in accordance with corporate guidelines and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Perform forecasting activities for the annual budget, subsequent plans updates, and gap management activities. Analyze variances to the prior forecast, and year ago, identifying opportunities to drive value for the business. Focus on revenue and understanding volume, mix, and assortment impacts, while having oversight for the full P&L.
- Lead the Business Units financial cycles (close, forecast, gap), including the completion of financial packages for close and forecast by coordinating inputs and due dates.
- Drive category profitability by positively influencing key stakeholders to make sound financial decisions, and providing insights to leadership teams on the drivers of the SBUs financial performance. Proactively identify issues/obstacles affecting profitable growth and create/recommend sound mitigation plans that contain an objective and balanced point of view.
- Independently lead ad hoc requests and be a resource for strategic initiatives.
- Design and deliver effective presentations, tailoring communication to specific audiences and anticipating their issues and questions. Effectively communicate complex ideas clearly to stakeholders, acting as the voice of Finance during meetings, including S&OP and business review meetings.
What we look for:
- 2 - 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting
- Strong analytical skills
- Highly detail oriented
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate and influence across functions and at all levels
- Proficient in PC applications including MS Office, BW and Essbase. Strong Excel skills.
- Strong background knowledge in accounting and finance; other cost / forecast experience is a plus.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $69,600 - $127,400
–Zone B: $63,800 - $116,800
–Zone C: $58,000 - $106,100
