Financial Macro Specialist
Job Summary:
To be responsible for maintaining and supporting existing and new complex Excel VBA macros utilizing a variety of data sources.
Salary: $76K-$92K/DOE

Daily Responsibilities:
- Develop new macro-driven Excel spreadsheets to assist various departments in the automation of their processes.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving the existing macro-driven Excel spreadsheets throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand departmental needs and develop and execute solutions that bring automation.
- Maintain or develop branch/product profitability analysis reports and results.
- Maintain or develop responsibility/cost center and variance analysis reports.
- Support branch and department requests for profitability analysis, trends, and strategies.
- Review and provide guidance on accounting procedures that will facilitate profitability and reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Prepare monthly supporting reports including ratios, graphs, charts, and trends for the Board of Directors.
- Prepare Asset/Liability Management Committee packages.
- Assist the Vice President Finance with annual budget preparation, review, and completion.
- Assist the Vice President Finance with financial forecasts, periodic reviews, and other analysis.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports for loan participation pools.
- Prepare monthly budget-to-actual comparisons and variances for the Board of Directors.
- Organize data and research for cost-benefit analysis associated with credit union operations.
- Provide data associated with the analysis of projected interest rate risk, capital risk, liquidity risk, credit risk, and concentration risk.
- Perform modeling and “what-if” scenarios on liquidity and net interest margin.
- Prepare daily cash flow reports and required daily business intelligence reporting as needed.
- Responsible for data collection in support of monthly allowance for credit losses.
- Monitor and analyze credit union investment activity.
- Assist in preparation of all regulatory quarterly reporting.
- Assist the Accounting Department as necessary.
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum of three years of similar or related experience.
- Associates degree or higher in business, computer science, information systems, or completed formalized vocational training in VBA programming.
