What you will be doing
Under general direction of the Product Manager, Customer Solutions, the Analyst - Business Analyst-II will be responsible for business analysis, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing activities for product development and integrated solutions initiatives. This individual will assist product management team members to schedule and facilitate grooming sessions to ensure aligned cross functional support team members understand the requirements to effectively size large initiatives in line with the company's overall strategy and goals. This role may interact directly with aligned cross functional support team members to ensure development tasks and QA test plans are identified and assigned to the appropriate resource to fully execute user stories.
- Responsible for collecting, documenting, and confirming business requirements and functional specifications
- Works in close collaboration with business partners, data engineers, and QA team members to ensure consistent understanding of business processes and requirements
- Defines, develops, and delivers test plans and associated test case scenarios
- Collaborates with Architects to augment data models based on business needs and product development requirements
- Interprets data models and data dictionaries to understand available variables to create new metrics; and ensures new metric definitions are well documented and consistent across business segments
- Establishes effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers to build and maintain effective business partner relationships
- Responsible for deliverables related to System Development Life Cycle phases for production and custom solutions
- Attends, participates, and occasionally leads project status meetings
- Works with project manager to track project status, investigates and documents project issues and detailed requirements
- Frequently interacts with IT staff including business area management, portfolio managers, vendors, consultants and other contractors
- Must be willing to travel periodically
What your background should look like
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, data analysis, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program; normally requires a minimum of five (5) years directly related and progressively responsible experience with a focus in one or more of the following business areas: Finance, Sales and Marketing, general technical experience required.

- Must possess a high skill level for writing instructional documents and general communiques with little to no grammatical or typographical errors
- Mid-level to advanced understanding of Microsoft suite of products which include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Team Foundation Server (nice to have)
- Good understanding of how data is stored in tables and able to use basic SQL queries to research information
