Summary
Ryder is seeking a driven and versatile Fleet Risk Service (FRS) Consultant to join our Fleet Risk Service team. The FRS Consultant will be a key player in supporting Ryder’s competitive edge in fleet management and safety, contributing directly to revenue growth through innovative safety services and insurance product offerings. In this role, you will manage vendor relationships, implement loss prevention strategies, and deliver value-added consulting services to enhance fleet safety and compliance. This position involves hands-on training, customer engagement, and supporting national sales efforts to improve overall fleet safety performance.

Essential Functions
- Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain and cultivate partnerships with key vendors. Manage contracts and monthly billing for various services and identify new partnership opportunities, supporting overall growth for Ryder’s safety services.
- Revenue Generation & Profitability: Contribute to efforts in launching new safety products, and maintain profitability of the insurance product line through effective loss prevention strategies and consultative sales of Ryder’s safety services.
- Loss Prevention & Fleet Management: Conduct fleet management assessments, develop loss prevention recommendations, and provide training for customers to enhance fleet safety and reduce losses. Lead large loss reviews with Sales, Operations, and Insurance teams to develop corrective action plans and improve safety performance.
- Consulting & Client Support: Provide expert consultation on fleet safety, risk management, and compliance to existing customers and prospects, delivering customized safety solutions that contribute to Ryder’s revenue growth and customer retention. Heavy concentration on FMCSRs.
- Training & Audits: Conduct both classroom and hands-on driver safety training programs.
- Sales Support & Executive Engagement: Serve as a critical resource to support Ryder's National Sales accounts, working closely with customer Executive Leadership. Assist in sales proposals and new business development to implement Ryder Safety Services, ensuring differentiation in the marketplace.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with internal teams to support new initiatives, collaborate on cross-functional projects, and contribute to Ryder’s safety culture.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Ten (10) years or more direct experience in developing and managing Safety and Loss Prevention programs required.
- Ten (10) years or more experience in the Transportation Industry required.
- Five (5) years or more experience in the Insurance Industry preferred.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP).
- Certified Director of Safety (CDS).

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc.
Pay Type
Compensation ranges for the position are below:
Salaried
Minimum Pay Range
90,000.00
Maximum Pay Range
110,000.00
The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
