Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP), is currently seeking a Records Analyst III to join our team to support our government customer in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Reporting to WIPP’s Records Program Manager, this position supports implementation of federal, Department of Energy (DOE), state, and WIPP’s Records Management Organization’s (WRMO) requirements regarding the creation, receipt, approval, processing, distribution, use, configuration control, storage, retrieval, retention, and disposition of electronic and hard copy sensitive, but unclassified documents and records. This position will manage the incoming and outgoing communication documents and records for all WIPP departments and organizational Managers in the active stage of their lifecycle. Upload documents into the Electronic Documents and Records Management System (EDRMS) and establish electronic relationships in support of configuration control. Participate in and/or lead efforts associated with WRMO tools migrations, enhancements, or implementation of electronic records management program.
Job Duties

- Perform records, mail, and receiving area services in support of WRMO and specified CBFO Active Records and Mail Service responsibilities in accordance with Federal laws.
- Manage the procedure lifecycle process.
- Process programmatic documents and records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable requirements and standards.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to customer organizations on procedures and processes.
- Foster a mutually respectful and inclusive work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.
- Demonstrate understanding of Records Management regulations and methods to ensure compliance.
- Develop positive customer relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
- Interface with WRMO management, CBFO Records management, co-workers, and other staff members for the purpose of solving Records Management issues.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Possess a wide range of computer skills to include implementation of requirements or enhancements for Records Management-related applications.
- Deliver clear and concise communications to employees and managers of all levels.
- Knowledge using Documentum and other Records Management tools.
- Work in a configuration management environment.
- Adhere to policies and programs concerning document controls.
- Lead projects to assess records management programs and initiate new projects within the group.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with three (3) years of professional experience, or
- Associate’s degree with seven (7) years of professional experience, or
- High School Diploma or Equivalency with eleven (11) years of professional experience is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in records management required to satisfy DOE regulatory, legal, and contractual requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of document control work processes.
- Demonstrated experience supporting all CCP Document Control/Records Management (DC/RM) Program activities and personnel.
Starting salary $67,817 per year. Base salary will be dependent upon candidate's background.
