The TEN Credit Union is looking for a skilled Service Transaction Specialist.
The Service Transaction Specialist is a high-contact position requiring the ability to communicate face-to-face effectively with prospective/current members and to represent the credit union positively and professionally.
Day-to-day job duties include:
- Assisting members on how to use video banking technology and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Establishing rapport with members by smiling, greeting them by name, and offering assistance.
- Maintaining awareness of all current rates and marketing promotions.
- Monitoring the lobby and teller-line traffic to ensure that members are serviced in a timely and efficient manner without excessive wait time.
- Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service to meet members' needs.
- Ensuring that all marketing materials are up-to-date and displayed in heavy traffic areas.
- Being thoroughly trained in the area of teller work and covering the teller line as needed.
- Performing all duties in compliance with applicable regulations, particularly relating to new accounts, Bank Secrecy, and security issues.
This position will be at our Main Branch located in Nashville, TN.
Hours are Monday-Thursday: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM; Friday: 8:30 AM-6:00 PM.
Compensation: Begins at a minimum of $18/hr.

REQUIREMENTS
- Regular and reliable attendance; accuracy and attention to detail.
- Thorough knowledge and observance of Credit Union policies and procedures, of loan documentation and credit-granting criteria, interest rates, and payrolls.
- Ability to assist members in person professionally and efficiently; capable of working with frequent change.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing; communication skills in other languages are also desirable.
- Good math and computer skills are strongly desired.
- Ability to learn and follow federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods.
- Ability to use a computer for long periods.
- Ability to work in a non-smoking environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience in the hospitality/retail/financial industry is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a financial industry preferred.
TRAVEL
Employees may travel to assist branches on an irregular basis.
The candidate must pass a drug screen and background check.
