Renovations to Bundy Auditorium achieved big results on a small budget.
The design team focused on improving the performance experience for New Castle students by upgrading sound, lighting and technology systems.
With the leftover dollars in the budget, the design team gave the auditorium a much-needed facelift with new seating, carpet and paint. The design also improves functionality within the auditorium. The design team repurposed the large existing wood partition walls for use as the exterior face of the sound booth. This allowed the team to economically increase the size of the sound booth, an improvement which allows New Castle’s theatre department to hold its theatre tech class.
Other improvements include upgrades to the auditorium lobby and a new accessible route to the stage from the front of the house.
