Platform Resourcing is working with a prestigious insurer based in Newport who are looking for a Hybrid German Speaking Insurance Advisor to join their supportive team, who provide extensive career development, in a culture where success is celebrated, no matter how big or small.
The successful candidate will need to be a native German speaker, also fluent in English both written and verbally. You will need experience within a customer service or office-based role, and you will need excellent attention to detail. In this role you will manage customer inquiries, liaise with clients and suppliers, logging all insurance claim details accurately, investigating and assessing claims, also keeping the customer fully informed throughout, whilst keeping inhouse systems up to date ensuring accuracy at all times.

- Salary of £27,000 plus a Bonus Scheme based on performance.

German Speaking Insurance Advisor Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answer customer service queries made by telephone and email, accurately recording all insurance information from customers, insurance brokers, and insurance companies.
- Deal with all correspondence efficiently, verify and accurately record all enquiries and provided information within the inhouse system, meeting agreed customer time scales.
- Maintain effective working relationships with lessors, insurance brokers/companies and suppliers, providing the highest standards of customer service.
- Prioritize workloads on a daily basis and maintain case information to allow other team members access to review cases at any time.
- Obtain appropriate statements based on the value and type of loss from the parties reporting the claim, entering all facts and details onto the inhouse systems.
- Investigate and gather all necessary documentation and evidence to verify and determine the loss, then evaluate the coverage in place.
- Estimate the amount of loss or damage, setting reserves and revising them as needed throughout the investigation.
- Immediately notify insurers of any claim, as well as claims that exceed the delegated limit of authority, notifying customers of any delays.
- Proactively chase outstanding information/documents according to agreed standards.
- Investigate potential subrogation, contribution, recovery, and salvage.
- Coordinate the repair or replacement of equipment with approved suppliers and arrange for damaged equipment to be inspected to ascertain the cause of the loss.
- Review all documents and facts to determine the type of settlement, instructing an outside adjuster if the claim exceeds the limit of authority.
- Handle complaints following the company’s complaints handling policy.
- Act as a mentor/buddy to less experienced staff to help them reach the required standard.
German Speaking Insurance Advisor Essential Skills and Experience:
- You MUST be a fluent Native German Speaker to apply for this position, also fluent in English both written and verbal.
- Experience within a customer service/ administration based role.
- Experience of handling complaints, following company policies and guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, confident when speaking to customers/ clients.
- Able to build rapport quickly and build long term customer relationships.
- Strong attention to detail, focused on accuracy and able to document correct information at all times.
- Good problem solver, able to effectively identify solutions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
- Previous claims experience (advantageous), demonstrating a solid understanding of claims handling processes, documentation, and investigation.
