Position Summary:
The Senior Risk Management Analyst, an integral member of the Finance and Compliance Team, is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to protect STARPLUS ENERGY LLC from potential harm and ensuring the company's long-term success. This position reports to the Finance Director.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Structure and negotiate insurance programs as well as manage all relationships with property and casualty/employee benefits insurance brokerage firms and administrators.
- Work directly with State and Federal regulatory agencies to update them on business plans; propose and secure approval for new lines of coverage.
- Manage claim operations.
- Direct the underwriting process.
- Manage intercompany loans to provide greater access to liquidity.
- Oversee the process for insurance renewals.
- Provide risk management and insurance expertise while procuring additional insurance coverage as necessary.
- Coordinate STARPLUS ENERGY LLC loss prevention program with input from Shareholders.
- Oversee employee benefits insurance programs in coordination with HR.
- Participate in annual budget review and preparation.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic:
- Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management/Insurance, Finance or other related field.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international).
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.
- Experience negotiating insurance terms and conditions in contracts with third parties.
- Ability to demonstrate an advanced technical understanding of insurance policy terms and conditions.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal abilities, effectively engaging with individuals at various organizational levels.
Preferred:
- Previous experience of relevant corporate insurance broker, underwriter, or risk manager.
- Cash management experience.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Benefits: Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, PTO, 401K with company match, and tuition reimbursement.
Compensation: $75,000-$105,000.
Additional Details: Salary within the posted range is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
