Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for the financial management of several large grants. The Bookkeeper holds an integral role in the accounts payable and internal control systems for these grants.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial management of specified grants in collaboration with the Program Coordinator and Staff Accountant.
- Review vendor invoices and various documents for accuracy and preparation for accounts payable in a timely manner.
- Verify linkage between vendor payments and invoices.
- Act as a liaison between the agency and its vendors, following up as needed on invoices and inaccuracies and/or corrections if applicable.
- Maintain a comprehensive tracking system of checks and balances to support accurate grant reporting.
- Expand bookkeeping protocols to ensure compliance with grant guidelines.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience working as a bookkeeper.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
