Your day-to-day work will include:You will be a Senior Financial Analyst who supports the planning, policy, execution, reporting, and oversight of Military Personnel (MILPERS) Financial Management (FM) operations. You will support budget formulation, execution, cost accounting, resource evaluation and analysis (RE&A), OMB A-123, and financial statement audit initiatives. You will also support the formulation, evaluation, interpretation, and application of proposed and published FM policies and procedures related to the USMC’s MILPERS program. You will have the opportunity to support Fiscal Year (FY) closeout activities, including funds execution, reconciliation, validation, and certification. You will support the development and delivery of MILPERS financial management training, assistance, and inspection programs and develop and deliver briefings relative to MILPERS FM operations. As a Senior Financial Analyst, Aeyon will capitalize on your leadership expertise, and you may supervise peer and/or junior financial analysts.
Your duties and expectations include, but are not limited to, the following:- Assist in budget formulation for MILPERS appropriations.
- Assist in the pricing of the workforce plan based on OSD guidance.
- Assist in the formulation, coordination, and submission of MILPERS budget estimates.
- Validate compliance with appropriate budget guidance.
- Interpret and assist in applying Congressional/OSD marks for current-year appropriations.
- Monitor and track Congressional actions affecting formulation and execution.
- Assist in the Marine Corps' internal and external reprogramming actions for MILPERS appropriations.
- Assist in response to Congressional inquiries regarding MILPERS appropriations.
- Conduct military pay financial system reconciliation and liaison with DFAS on MILPERS appropriations.
- Monitor current and prior year fiscal controls and solvency.
- Identify anomalies or unexpected results when navigating or validating interfaced data.
- Monitor execution performance on a monthly/quarterly basis against phasing plans/budget targets for baseline MILPERS appropriations.
- Leverage your familiarity with DAI modules: Budget-to-Report (B2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Cost Accounting (CA), and reporting through Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
- Provide functional and technical expertise to assist the workforce in the execution of their assigned responsibilities.
- Integrate job aids/quick reference guides specific to the USMC configuration, encompassing the most performed business processes to increase proficiency.
- Identify and research performance trends and processing gaps, coordinate with stakeholders, and report findings and recommendations to client management for resolution.
- Assist with DFAS and treasury document corrections.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:8 years of full-time experience (including internships) providing financial management-related services.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree preferred, not required. CDFM / CGFM / DoD FM preferred, not required.

Work hours:Here at Aeyon we believe in creating an environment that fosters a healthy work/life balance. The typical day consists of a 9-5 Monday-Friday work schedule totaling 40 hours per week, but we do realize that life happens, and things come up. Many of our positions allow some flexibility in the work schedule for unforeseen events so that our employees can maintain a 40-hour work week and still have the opportunity to meet other obligations during the workday.
