Job Summary:
This position provides leadership, direction and guidance of all bank activities. This position serves on Wahpeton Loan Committee and is responsible for all branch operations in Wahpeton.
Primary Duties:
- Assist with setting bank policies, procedures and objectives as well as work closely with Executive and Senior Management in administration of the bank.
- Provide leadership and management of the Wahpeton branch by managing asset/liability portfolio and profitability while maintaining compliance with bank regulations, laws and bank policies.
- Ensure efficient and effective branch operations by selecting, developing and managing staff.
- Develop new business, both agriculture and commercial businesses, and promote the bank's image in the community through business development programs and by becoming involved in key community activities. New business can come from referrals and cold calls. This individual should be very comfortable making cold calls.
- Work closely with the Executive and Senior Management in pricing loans, deposits and other products and services.
- Serve as a member of the Wahpeton Loan Committee ensuring good quality loans and minimal risk to the bank.
- Provide guidance where necessary to staff in establishing and negotiating terms under which the credit could be structured, including costs, repayment methods and collateral requirements.
- Provide guidance to the loan document representative and commercial lending assistant in preparation of loan documentation.
- Provide guidance to staff in the monitoring of credit facilities when booked. Assess interim financial information, borrowing base reports and other supporting documentation.
- Refer qualified prospects as needed to the Bell Bank deposit specialists, residential and consumer loan specialists, trust specialists or investment specialists.
- Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.

- Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Required:
- B.A. in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
- At least five years of business development experience.
- Working knowledge of loan and deposit documentation.
- Above average written and communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer technology.
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
