As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the finance function by providing insightful analysis, forecasting, and strategic recommendations to senior management. You will be responsible for assisting in the development of financial plans and budgets, monitoring key performance indicators, and identifying areas for improvement to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
This is a hybrid role and will require you to be in our Cottonwood Heights, UT office at least two days per week. This is not a remote role and would require relocation to the Salt Lake City, UT area.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, including revenue, expenses, and profitability, to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in the development of Navitaire’s annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to gather input and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular financial reports and dashboards to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Variance Analysis: Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, investigating and explaining variances, and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term strategic planning, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Pricing, Account Management, and Strategy, to provide financial guidance and support for decision-making.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required by senior management, providing valuable insights and recommendations to address specific business challenges.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s Degree a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Experience with ERP systems and BI tools is a plus, Power BI in particular.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
