Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain timely, useful financial charts/reports to support analysis and decision making.
- Participate in month-end closing procedures; draft/record journal entries, review account activity, identifying necessary accruals and allocations, and highlighting and understanding unbudgeted financial variations.
- Prepare month end account reconciliations, proactively rectifying unreconciled transactions.
- Evaluate procurement, labor, and production costs across operational facilities and terminals.
- Prepare and manage customer price sheet processing.
- Analyze logistics costs and analyze monthly trends.
- Sales, margin, and expense analysis and reporting.
- Gather and consolidate data from key stakeholders globally for weekly metric reporting.
- Maintain KPC Global Strategic Initiatives Tracker.
- Participate in the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasting processes.
- Provide audit deliverables and communicate with the internal and external audit teams.
- Perform various financial controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Identify improvements, make recommendations and promote new ideas.
- Must promote cross-training within the department and be willing to help coworkers during absences and high-volume events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline; CPA or path to becoming a CPA preferred.
- 3-7 years of experience with a public firm or private industrial company; manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley internal accounting control procedures and processes.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), report writing applications, data extraction/consolidation experience and prior exposure to an ERP system.
- Inventory and manufacturing cost accounting knowledge preferred.
- Carries out routine duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision. Makes decisions and establishes work priorities on essentially procedure-oriented operations.
- Must communicate effectively by listening, writing, and speaking clearly and accurately and keeping the team and management informed.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
- Must possess the ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
- Some travel required (10 percent or less).
- Must be able to work non-standard hours during peak periods.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
Software: PowerBI, Excel and SQL experience would definitely help. (Just simple SQL queries and joins).
